Salisbury Cathedral from the River Avon

Salisbury

I don’t usually like cities, but Salisbury is different. The ancient, characterful buildings and staggering 13th-century cathedral make visiting more than worthwhile.

This photograph was taken on a still morning in October when a gentle mist, lit by the morning sun, nestled around the River Avon.
