Gravy Poe
A handprinted linocut of a Crow in a Hawthorn tree, inspired by a plucky young Crow I met earlier this year who I named Gravy Poe, a mispronunciation (almost spoonerism) of ‘baby Crow’ which stuck.
Printed on Awagami Okawara paper (which is acid free, archival and made with traditional Japanese fibres) using minimum tools, this is my first attempt at printmaking. Because I am new to this, and because of the nature of handmade prints, no two of these prints are the same. They each have individual characteristics, such as ink spots and crease marks.
I’m offering this print in two sizes (small and medium.) The printed image is the same size on all the prints (measuring approximately 16cm x 19cm) but the paper size varies. (Please see images.)
Small paper: 22cm x 20cm, medium paper: 24.5cm x 23cm.
Each print is numbered, titled and signed along the base.
