‘Wallcreeper in Flight’ Painted Stone

It seems impossible, but Wallcreepers, those elusive birds found throughout the high mountains of the Palearctic from southern Europe to central China do, occasionally, turn up in the UK. (One overwintered in Cheddar Gorge in the 1970s.) I can hardly think of a more exciting bird to see. It’s those wings. Those fantastic red, black and white wings.
