‘Bee-eater’ Painted Stone

The RSPB describes (European) Bee-eaters as ‘rainbow clad rock stars’ and I think that description fits them very well. As I was painting this stone (which is a sea-worn piece of brick) I kept having to remind myself that something this colourful really exists and, moreover, they can now be seen in the UK as they have started to breed here.
